Pool special for people with disability opened in Iran

TEHRAN — A specially-designed pool for people with disability was opened in Sari, a city in northern province of Mazandaran, on Thursday.

The complex, stretching over a 1,350 square meters, is comprising of two pool, one for physically challenged people and the other for persons with vision loss, IRNA quoted Anoushirvan Mohseni- Bandpey, caretaker for welfare ministry, as saying. 

It was constructed with a budget of 60 billion rials (nearly $1.5 million) provided by the government, Mohseni- Bandpey added. 

Based on the figures announced by Mazandaran province welfare organization some 48,000 people with disabilities are living in the region.
